How do I properly install my Strateo3D DUAL600?The machine must be placed on a stable surface capable of supporting more than 100 kg, at a recommended height of 80 to 85 cm. It must be installed in a dry, ventilated environment, protected from any liquid or gaseous projections.
The particle filter must be installed before powering on the machine (M4 screws supplied, quantity depending on the filter model). -
Can I move the machine by myself? No.
The Strateo3D DUAL600 Series 2 weighs approximately 100 kg and must be handled using lifting equipment or by several people, lifting only from the four machine feet. -
How do I connect the machine to the power supply?Connect the machine to a dedicated power outlet equipped with a 16A fuse using the supplied C19 power cable. Never use a different cable or an overloaded power strip.
Connection & Software
-
How do I access the StratoControl3D interface?Connect an RJ45 Ethernet cable between the machine and your local network.
The IP address is displayed on the touchscreen under:
Settings > Network
StratoControl3D is accessible via a web browser from a PC, tablet, or smartphone.
For security reasons, access is only possible from the same local network as the machine. -
Which operating systems are compatible?MacOS, Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and any system with a web browser. No software installation is required.
-
Can I send files via Wi-Fi?By default, the available connections are USB and Ethernet.
Materials & Nozzles
-
Which materials can I print with the DUAL600?Characterized materials include: ABS, ACETATE, ASA-X, BVOH, HIPS, PA6, PA6-CF, PC, PC-ABS, PEKK, PETG, PLA, PVA, TPU98A, etc.
The machine accepts all 1.75 mm filaments. The maximum extrusion temperature is 300°C (extendable up to 450°C, depending on options). -
Which nozzle sizes are available?Five diameters are available: 0.4 / 0.6 (standard) / 0.8 / 1.0 / 1.2 mm.
The choice depends on the desired surface finish, printing speed, and mechanical strength of the final part. -
Which bed adhesion promoter should I use?
Material Adhesion Promoter ABS Dimafix ACETATE 3DLac ASA-X Dimafix BVOH 3DLac HIPS Dimafix PA6 / PA6-CF 3DLac PC / PC-ABS Dimafix PETG 3DLac PLA 3DLac PP PP adhesive PVA 3DLac TPU98A 3DLac -
How do I properly load filament?1. Cut the filament at an angle
2. Insert it into the spool drawer, passing through the filament runout sensor
3. Activate nozzle heating
4. Use the Extrude button until filament exits the nozzle
Preheating & Calibration
-
Why is a 45 minute preheating time required? The internal build volume (600 × 420 × 500 mm) and heated chamber require sufficient time to reach thermal equilibrium.
Insufficient preheating may cause:- Warping
- Incorrect Z-offset
- Inaccurate calibrations
-
Do I need to recalibrate when changing material?Yes, if you change temperature ranges (e.g. PLA → ABS).
No, if you remain within the same material family (e.g. PLA → TPU, same preheating conditions). -
Which calibration procedures are available?
- Thermal model calibration
- Build plate calibration (25 points)
- Z adjustment and dual nozzle alignment
- X/Y calibration of both nozzles
Printing
-
How do I start a print?Select a file from the Print tab:
- From a USB drive
- From the internal storage accessible via the network
-
The machine pauses automatically, is this normal?Yes. Automatic pauses can be triggered by:
- Filament runout
- Anomaly detection
- Door opening (optional)
-
What happens in case of a power outage? The machine restarts in a secure standby mode.
Depending on the configuration, print recovery may be offered. -
My first layer does not stick, what should I do?
- Check bed degreasing (isopropyl alcohol only)
- Verify the correct adhesion promoter is used
- Redo Z-offset adjustment
- Ensure sufficient preheating
- Keep the enclosure closed during printing
Safety & Operation
-
What happens if I open the door during printing?Behavior depends on machine settings:
- Automatic pause
- Or user warning only
-
The machine gets very hot, is this normal?Yes. The enclosure can reach 70°C, nozzles up to 450°C, and the build plate up to 140°C.
Never touch hot components or place your hands inside the enclosure while the machine is operating.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
-
The nozzle does not heat up, what should I do?Check:
- That preheating is enabled
- The correct material is selected
- No update is currently running
- Whether an error message is displayed (automatic diagnostics)
-
How do I maintain the build plate? After each print:
- Remove parts once the plate is cold
- Remove residue
- Clean with water
- Degrease with isopropyl alcohol
-
Incorrect filament runout detectionPossible causes:
- Filament not correctly routed through the sensor
- Broken filament inside the PTFE tube
- Sensor disabled in Settings > Machine
-
My part lifts off the bed (warping)Solutions:
- Check preheating duration
- Use the correct adhesion promoter
- Increase bed temperature
- Close the enclosure
- Use a larger nozzle for ABS (0.6 or 0.8 mm)
